Cheri Cowell Bio

Cheri Cowell is a popular conference speaker and writer who uses her experience in ministry to encourage and equip Christians seeking answers to the deep questions of faith. She attends Asbury Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, where she is earning a degree in Theological Studies.

Cheri is a native Floridian.

Both of Cheri’s Grandfathers were circuit-riding preachers in the Florida Methodist Church.

Cheri presently serves as worship leader for her church’s contemporary service.

Cheri is most proud of the work she did as Director of Operation L.O.V.E., an ecumenical organization formed to help restore and rebuild those devastated by the 1998 Central Florida tornados.

Cheri spent 15 years in professional church ministry including serving as Director of Christian Education, Youth Ministries, and Youth and Children’s Ministries.

Cheri began her speaking and writing career in 2000.

Besides speaking and writing Cheri enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, and sipping coffee with friends.

Cheri is married to Randy, her number one fan and best friend for 22 years.

Cheri and Randy love to travel, especially to National Parks. Their favorites are Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Great Smokey Mountains.

Cheri’s favorite Scripture is Jeremiah 17:7-8, favorite hymn is In The Garden, and favorite contemporary praise song is Sometimes He Calms the Storm by Scott Krippayne.
