Testimonies
Our Story - God's Story

Click [ here ] to submit your testimony.

These testimonies are from those who’ve put the six-question God’s Ways method into practice in their lives. Hear, in their own words, how the God’s Way approach has set them free. Then write your own story of how God has used the six-question process in your own story, and tell us how you see your story within God’s story.

Marie's Decision
"The most difficult decision I have ever made was to determine if I should remarry. Had God brought Ed into my life, and if so was I able to take the steps necessary for marriage? As I worked my way through the God’s Way Approach, some of the questions really helped me to process my feelings and make decisions without emotion. My obstacle was my previous experience of a broken marriage and my belief that I could not possibly be the right one for Ed. After all, I am his second choice and he is mine. I have learned to just let go and let God work his plan through me, taking the steps of faith He places before me. God has pruned me and realigned my life in order to make me the kind of person Ed is comfortable with and can trust, and I now know that this has been a part of God's plan for me all along."

Helen's Determination
Since becoming a widow, I’ve found it very difficult to make decisions. We had always done that together and I felt so alone. However, after studying the God’s Way approach, I realized that God was giving me these decisions to make—but not to make alone. In going over the six steps and how God was a part of each of them, it became clearer what decisions I needed to make. I was no longer afraid of God-sized situations because God and I together can handle anything. I now understand why God was stretching, realigning, and forcing me to step out in faith. I’m no longer afraid to do so. He wants me to know He is with me no matter what decisions I make."

Dottie's Daily Choices
"As an attorney I must make many daily decisions, most of them common to others in their daily tasks. There are, however, many choices I must make where my decisions affect the lives of many for months and years to come. I have found the questions to be helpful in making the little and big decisions I must make everyday. Sometimes it is clear that God's character would not allow for a particular choice, other times it helps me to remember the Israelites in Jericho and know that if God has asked me to do something that looks silly to others; He will make my cause worthy."

Laura and Jeff's Dilemma
"Jeff has been out of work, looking for a full time job for the last six months. Everywhere he turned there were obstacles to getting a job. Jeff has felt a calling into full time youth ministry for some time now and we wondered if this was the go ahead sign we needed from God. We used the six questions to help us through this stressful time. The study and questions from the life of Joseph helped us face questions about whether God was using the obstacles of not finding full time work to point us in this new direction. It also helped us answer the question of whether the opposition from family and friends was an attempt to derail us from our appointed task. The decisions we're making are hard, but we know by praying over every step that they are in God's will. Jeff†is sure he has been called to the ministry and is preparing to take classes at a seminary. We are still not sure what God's ultimate plan is for us, but we are waiting on His answer and know He is always faithful to provide until those next steps become clear."
